WHY BECOME AN OUTLIER?

Some people turn to self-help books and motivational seminars to find happiness. But a one-size-fits-all approach to self-help and fulfillment just doesn’t work.

That’s why we built School of Outliers.

If you’re seeking to overcome a life of suffering brought on by fear and anxiety – if you want to access joy, trust, and love – then you’re already on the path to Become an Outlier. You just need some help turning passion into action.

School of Outliers aims to discover the root of life’s uncomfortable, unpleasant, and tragic experiences. It reaches beyond self-help and into a practice of nourishment and enlightenment. We can’t control what life throws at us. But School of Outliers helps you build a blueprint to handle what’s hurled your way. It’s with courage that you can find happiness through authenticity.

"Outliers are those who have been given opportunities — and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them."

Malcolm Gladwell

MENTAL WELLNESS: A HOLISTIC APPROACH

I believe that there is a direct correlation between mood and food, and I’m not alone. The “Father of Medicine,” Hippocrates insightfully proclaimed, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” As a psychotherapist that specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I subscribe to the notion that our perceptions influence our thoughts. And our behaviors and emotions are the product of our thoughts.

Despite this, many of my clients fail to realize the impact our mental state can have on our physical well-being and vice versa. That’s why I’ve joined forces with Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner, Daphne Olivier.

THE UNCONVENTIONAL DIETITIAN

Daphne Olivier is the “Unconventional Dietitian,” and she is committed to delivering health through food and nutrition. As Louisiana’s first and only Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner, she prides herself on helping clients discover and consume the foods their body needs to perform at the optimal level.

Going a step further than most dietitians, Daphne aims to make sure that you know exactly what to buy, why and how to prepare them so that you’re able to implement these healthy habits into your lifestyle for a lifetime. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Louisiana and works with clients one-on-one virtually or in person.

Together we offer a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. By combining proven techniques in psychotherapy and nutrition, we’re healing clients from inside out. If you’ve been struggling to achieve balance and happiness and are seeking to heal both your mind and body, contact us today to get started on your journey to healing.
